Today's picture is Benny the Barrel looking hopefully into fridge, when someone opened it to get out things to make sandwiches with. Morning walk round the estate. Met Donna, our Canadian physiotherapist friend and neighbour. Lunch with Rotarians in Almancil. Had rather been dreading this as their website rather gave the impression that they might be a bit stuffy which they were absolutely not! Keith their master of ceremonies greeted us wearing shorts and a very colourful shirt though everyone else was (somewhat) more formally dressed and Harald and I had put on smart trousers and jackets for the occasion. Great lunch in a really good French restaurant and interesting people. Kathryn and Nin shared a table with a wine-knowledgeable Danish property developer and Norman Dewey from Guernsey.Norman turned out to have a fantastic model railway in Guernsey which we have been invited to come and see. The President Peterwhose parents were German, but who comes from Wales welcomed us informally before the meeting and formally at the meeting where Harald also exchanged club flags at a short formal ceremony Interesting talk by lady member about her career working with deprived children. Afternoon to Albufeira to be shocked about vulgar T shirts on sale there. The other side of the Algarve!
