Wednesday 25th February

Woke to driving rain again and loud excavating noises from our previous house, and decided to go to the market in Alte despite the weather. Started at station in Tunes buying train tickets for next week's trip to Lisbon. Found that John needed doctor, so rang the International Health Centre and arranged an appointment for him this afternoon. Set off for Alte, but got onto the Lisbon motorway by accident, so had to drive back to Albufeira to get off it! No time for market, so lunch in nice fish restaurant in Benagil, overlooking very rough sea. (gale force winds today.....so much for sunny Algarve). Back to Albufeira for John's doctors's appointment. They are beginning to get to know us there and suggested we should buy a family card! Shopping at Continente (bought a small table lamp which makes a huge difference to the homeliness of our new house which is very dark blue!) No pix today as too rainy for anything except underwater photography!
