Decided on a trip to Cape St Vincent, regarded by the Portuguese in former times as the end of the civilised world. In fact it is the most south westerly point of mainland Europe.( i.e. not the most westerly and not the most southerly, but the most combination of the two!).Stopped on the way ti visit a really nice little local cafe in Vila do Bispo. Not a tourist in sight except us and otherwise just locals. ( all male of course in true southern European style) Dramatic cliff top scenery at the Cape and Norah and Charley stood alarmingly near the edge and looked over at the made fishermen who stand even closer to the shear 300 foot drop into the Atlantic far below.Planned lunch in good fish restaurant above harbour had to be abandoned because it was closed so we lunched in style at the Pousada with a fantastic view over the Atlantic. Got back rather late and all feeling rather tired.
