Preparing for the first visitors

To Silves today for a short walk along the levada by the river. Decided that after yesterday's marathon getting lost, a short walk would be OK. Met our old friend the "guide dog" from the cafe where the walk starts. He is really is very cute. He sees you setting off along the levada and immediately trots in front of you and stays with you for the whole walk. If you stop to look at something, he comes back to check that you are still around, and if you deviate from the route he comes back and looks reproachful and tries to get you back on track. He occasionally wanders off to have a chat with his mates for a few minutes, but always comes back.
Off to Continente to do the shopping for visitors and in the evening went drove to Faro airport to pick up Nora and Charley whose plane was actually early, despite gloomy predictions that they might not get here at all because of more snow and storms in the UK. They reported that ****** Ryanair now charge you to check in at the airport! They'll be charging you extra soon for a seat on the plane!Any delighted to see our new visitors, not onl because of themselves, but because they seem to have brought the good weather.
