Monday.

We are off on our bikes to the local gypsy market in Algoz, the nearest village. These markets are usually fun, but you need to watch your money and belongings as there are a number of light fingered fellow- marketeers! Parking is usually a BIG problem which is why we are cycling as it is only about half and hour away. We may, of course, have our bikes pinched, but will be firmly locking them to something immovable like a lamp post. We have also been invited to a drop-in lunch at Ann and Eddie's, a lovely and very Welsh couple we have met here through the boules club. This week looks like being very busy, doing all the things we have not done yet and going out with John and Jean and Anita and Malcolm if he is well enough. We also have to think about packing (YUK!!) both clothes and bikes and deciding what to leave behind for next year with kind friends who have been almost queueing up to look after our stuff.
Back from market and lunch with Ann and Eddie. Lovely bike ride through country lanes and small villages with horrendously bumshaking cobbles. Interesting market, much larger than when we last visited it in February. Bought dress for our new granddaughter Elise and got some good pictures, one of which is today's picture....of particular interest to our Norwegian readers. Last dinner at "Hot plate" Curva, good basic local restaurant in local village where the house wine costs only 5 euros. Given farewell hug by Mrs who came out of the kitchen and said she was looking forward to seeing us next year.
